MAC and forcing a gigabit network connection

The following screenshots offer assistance in configuring your network to connect via a full Gigabit network connection:

    1. Click the Apple menu and select System Preferences.

    2. In the Internet & Network section, double-click the Network icon.

    3. From the left-hand display menu, select Ethernet.

    4. Click the Advanced button.

    5. Click the Ethernet tab.

    6. Click the Configure pull-down menu and change it to manual.

    7. At this point, if the connection is wired, speed and duplex options should be changeable.
