Previous versions of Advanced Edition software offered display outputs using onboard Intel GPU resources. NewTek's goal is to bring out the most value from the hardware available while delivering the most options for video display routing.
In the development of Advanced Edition 3, we noticed a significant increase in resources required for display outputs from the Intel GPU with latest drivers that were leading to poor user experience. While filtering and tuning can help, we have a very high bar for the quality of video signal that is fed to the output ports. We have determined that the current drivers and configurations do not meet that bar. As a result, we have decided to discontinue support for display output via the Intel GPU connections.
Users are not left without options. We recommend using a Multiview monitor or NDI® Studio Monitor to view available TriCaster outputs via NDI®.
The change affects TriCaster Mini, TriCaster 460, TriCaster 410, TriCaster 860 and TriCaster 8000 models.
Figures 1 show an example of an updated Output Configuration menu in Advanced Edition 3.
