NIC Prioritization on devices with multiple NICs

In some cases, you may need prioritize the network traffic of a Control Surface above all other traffic. This is usually done after assigning a Static IP to the Control Surface and connecting it directly to the TC1 or VMC1.  Below are helpful steps that show how to change and set the network priority on multiple NICS.

Setting the NIC Prioritization for NIC's on the same device

1) Open the Ethernet connection properties window for the desired network connection.

2) Choose IPv4 properties, select Advanced and uncheck the automatic metric setting.

3) Set the Interface metric value to 10.

4) Repeat these steps on the other network adapters and set their values to 20.

Note: The network set to 10 will have main priority via Windows. Ensure the Control Surface is connected to this NIC.
