The following chart shows, on a by-device basis, which features are automatically included and which are only available via an active Premium Access subscription.
- ‘PA’ indicates that a Premium Access license is required on the system to provide this feature.
- ‘Included’ indicates that this feature is available with no additional license required.
- If Premium Access expires on a system, the feature will disappear, but the session will continue to be usable (minus any PA feature it was addressing).
Though some features have been included as standard functions in all TriCaster systems, they are listed in this document nonetheless since, on older software versions, they may not be available unless the Premium Access license is active.
Each feature is briefly listed below in function and with an image of where you will find this feature in the user interface.
Advanced Audio I/O
Adds Supplement Audio Device option to Inputs and Media Player audio sources, which allows these sources to be feed to external audio interfaces, like Dante or USB audio devices. (This option is available on some outputs without needing Premium Access).
Advanced DSK Compositing
Bring DSK’s on and off screen with PGM/PST background sources using complex transition effects.
As-run Logs
Retrieve a log of what clips or branding events played at what times to check operation and reconcile billing for advertising. These logs are found in the session folder, under Logs and then DDR Run Log.
Digital Media Aspect Ratios
Use non-standard aspect ratios (such as 9:16 and square video) along with video formats like double-wide or double-tall video.
File Notifications
See an identifier in the user interface that provides when has been dropped into a TriCaster monitored storage location over the network. Provides an option to load this file into a media player.
LiveGraphics
Design and import animated titles, motion graphics, and looping effects using Adobe® Creative Cloud® tools.
LiveMatteUltra
Get the highest quality chroma keying with LiveMatte Ultra for virtual sets and other compositing applications on all inputs.
LivePanel
Create software-based control panels to operate systems from desktop or mobile device — anywhere on the network.
Live Story Creator
Run shows with teleprompter control and embedded production cues from scripts created in Microsoft Word.
Macro Import
Build macros off-line in Excel and import for use. Provides a .xlsx export option for macros created on the TriCaster.
NDI KVM
Access the user interface of systems and take control from anywhere on the network with the workspace simultaneously output as an interactive NDI® video source.
Per Row Bank Selection on Control Panels
Hold down CTRL and ALT to individually select different banks of sources for each stripe on the 2S/4S control panels. Press a KEY button above the LED readout to force a bank selection.
Photoshop File Conversion
Convert image files from Adobe PhotoShop PSD into editable titles for use in a media player or buffer.
Pre-Multiplied Alpha Support
Apply when using input sources that utilize pre-multiplied keying.
